Theology as Liberation

We exist because theology should be… Beautiful. Free. Unrestrained. Alive. We believe every spiritual being carries the potential for an explosion of divine creativity, and we are here to nurture it. No debts, no conformity, no factory assembly lines—just liberation, knowledge, and transformative power.
Thus, we reject the suffocating constraints of traditional institutions and instead cultivate freedom, creativity, and radical inquiry. Our students—most often from historically oppressed and marginalized groups (including the incarcerated on death row)—are empowered to pursue theology without barriers, to ask questions without limits, and to write, speak, and act as liberators of worlds.

Here, your path is your own. You work with a mentor to develop your ideas into a publication, earn our unique Doctorate of New Theology (NThD) and immediately join our faculty—becoming a guide for the next generation of theologians. Together, we practice theology in the wild, cultivating voices that don’t just study the world—they transform it.
